Text Box: The programmatic year kicked off on Rally Sunday, September 13, with a “Blessing of the Backpacks” during the 9:30AM service, a delicious brunch prepared by the ROMEOs and fantastic displays designed in a walkway fashion in Fellowship Hall! As a special treat, the CYF Board provided “Make Your Own Owl-le-luia Cookies” at their display tables—a fun hit from last summer’s VBS program! With that, we jumped into the year’s programs and events with both feet! Wednesday evening programs began on September 16 with Alleluia Ringers rehearsal, Divine Dinner, Large Group Worship, Confirmation and King’s Kids Classes. Text Box: In light of Katie’s recent resignation in order to focus fully on her graduate studies, it has become even more important to seek out committed volunteers for the Children, Youth, and Family Department. If you would like to help teach a class, chaperone a program, or assist in the planning of any CYF event, please contact Pastor Roger or a CYF Board Member! Text Box: Fall Programs Begin! Text Box: JC’s Place Donations Needed! Text Box: JC’s Place is in need of food donations! We need supper items such as hot dogs, chicken patties, etc., snack items, and drinks in order to accommodate students needing dinner on Wednesday nights and snacks for other CYF Text Box: events/programs.
